ITINERARY:

Day 01: Arrival Hanoi Welcome Dinner.

Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi, clear customs and immigration, and you will be met and transfer to Hanoi’s down town for hotel check in. After relaxing, you will take a charming cycle ride around Hanoi city. Perhaps the most interesting area you will visit is the Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Here many tiny streets join to sell a huge diversity of products. In the old days, each street bore the name of the products it sold-“Shoe Street”, ”Noodle Street” and the like. Today, the streets sometimes sell a variety of items, but often the names are still accurate. After ride, special welcome dinner at the Grill Fried Fish Restaurant-which has brought much fame to Doan family and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 02: Hanoi city tour (Breakfast, Lunch)

Hanoi city tour will charm you with its unique blend of Vietnamese and French cultures. One thousand year old in the year 2010, its hard-working and friendly people will give you a warm welcome. Today, you will visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his Old Wooden House on stilts and the One Pillar Pagoda and Ethnology Museum. In the afternoon, continue to visit the charming Lake of the Restored Sword, Hoan Kiem, and shopping in the Old Quarter, where colorful streets and shops bustle with its activity. Before having a self paid dinner at local restaurant, you will have a chance to attending an evening water puppet show at Thang Long theatre. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 03: Hanoi-Halong Bay (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Drive 180 km (~2.5 hours) through the picturesque countryside to Halong Bay. Along the way, see the farms and rice fields and villages of the Northeast. Visit an artisan a workshop and see workers creating traditional style Vietnamese ceramics. Upon arrival Halong city, embark on your boat, with a friendly captain and crew, to cruise the majestic Bay of Halong. Thrill to the sight of thousands of precipitous rock islands jutting out from the sea. Visit the amazing island caves. Swimming is magical in the crystal waters of the Ton Kin Gulf. Dinner with incredibly fresh seafood on the floating fishing villages of the Bay, which served up by our professional chef while watching a lovely sunset you have ever seen. Unforgettable night on boat, fishing with seine, drinking Vietnamese wine and spending a night on Junk.

Day 04: Halong Bay - Hanoi (Brunch)

Wake up early, enjoy sunrise on boat before having a simple breakfast. Followed is a morning cruise to visit Man’s Head island, Tortoises island, Luon cave, Bai Tu Long Bay where scenes from the famous film Indochina were shot, Toad island, Bai Tho mountain...Farewell lunch on boat as you glide across the unbelievably calm sea prior returning to Halong city. Disembarkation and road back to Hanoi capital, stopover at Hai Duong for special Green Bean cake; along the way you will have a chance to enjoy rural scenery.

After dinner, take the night train to Quang Binh .

Day 05: Quang Binh – Phong Nha – Hue (Breakfast, Lunch)

On arrival Dong Hoi rail way station, you will be picked up and transferred to Phong Nha Grotto. You will be awed by the breath talking giant grotto, a wonderful 8000m combination of mountain, river and ancient limestone formations. Than visit the Vinh Moc Tunnels in the legendary DMZ and see how the Vietnamese warriors lived and fought under ground. Drive through the area that suffered the heaviest bombing during the Vietnam War, and see how the people there today strive to live a peaceful life. After visit, heading towards to Hue, Imperial capital. Overnight  in Hue.

Day 06: Hue city tour (Breakfast,Lunch, Dinner)

Simple breakfast then embark on a private Dragon boat to visit the romantic Tomb of Emperor Tu Duc and the majestic Tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh. See gentle local people making incense sticks and conical hats. Lunch on the boat. Continue on to visit the very beautiful Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the most famous structures in Vietnam.

Return to the hotel by boat. Dinner will be a special Royal Feast accompanied by Royal Music. You will dine like Emperors and Empresses. Overnight in Hue.

Day 07: Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An (Breakfast)

In the morning, visits the symbol of Hue, the 19th century Royal Citadel and learn the story of Vietnam’s royal past under the Nguyen Dynasty. Explore the mated ruins of the Forbidden Purple City. At lunch enjoy specialties from Hue’s unique cuisine. In the afternoon, have a wonderful drive along the scenic coast, passing through spectacular Hai Van Pass, “the Pass in the Clouds” and delightful Lang Co beach.

Continue to Hoi An – the charming ancient town, famous as the 17th century trading port of Fai Fo, with its fascinating mix of Chinese, Japanese and French architecture. Leisure time in Hoianas you wish, self paid dinner and overnight in Hoian.

Day 08: Hoian City Tour – My Son Holy Land (Breakfast)

Hoi An developed most of its uniquely eclectic townscape between the 16th and 19th centuries. During this time Hoi An was a thriving international commercial port for Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Arab merchants. Over the years, many elements of this diverse architectural style blended harmoniously with indigenous Vietnam features. Hoi An was relatively untouched by the Vietnam War, so the old world charm is still in.

We enjoy a half-day walking tour through the narrow winding streets of the Ancient Quarter visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, Chinese Assembly Halls, the 200- year old Tan Ky or Phung Hung ancestral house and the Japanese Bridge.

In the afternoon start the discovery trip to My Son, 40 km from Hoian, for admiring great architectural and art works of the Cham lost Kingdom. Having a brief understanding of the history, culture for which My Son was recognized the World Cultural Heritage. Afternoon is free time for shopping, wandering around or relax.

Day 09: Hoi An - Da Nang - Sai Gon (Breakfast, Lunch)

Breakfast at hotel, check out and drive to Da Nang for short visit Cham museum, where you can see most of the remaining masterpieces of the Cham Kingdom.after that check in at Da Nang airport for an hour flight to Ho Chi Minh City-formerly known as Saigon. On arrival, checking in the hotel then free at leisure for walking a round Saigon. Self paid dinner and overnight in Saigon

Day 10: Saigon City tour (Breakfast, Lunch)

After breakfast at the hotel, take a full day city tour of dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals. The tour starts with a visit to the Former Presidential Palace, History Museum, Central Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral. This afternoon, visit Thien Hau Pagoda, Chinatown and Ben Thanh market and a lacquer ware workshop. The day finishes with a visit to the restored city theatre and a stroll down Dong Khoi Street, the fashionable Rue Cantina of old Saigon. Self paid dinner and overnight in Saigon .

Day 11: Saigon – Mekong Delta (Breakfast, Lunch)

Drive to My Tho for a full day cruise on the mighty Mekong River, one of the longest river in the world. Explore the river’s islands and its canals in your own sampan, rowed by men and women living on the river. Meet the friendly local people making coconut candy in their workshop. Talking with young ladies whose sings and plays in a local musical performance while you enjoy luscious tropical fruits and home-made honey tea. Taste the amazing local Elephant Ear fish and giant shrimp at lunch in an orchard restaurant cooled by gentle river breezes. Road back to Saigon for self paid dinner. Overnight in Saigon

Day 12. Departure (Breakfast)

Free at leisure until transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for onward flight.
